Converted to a
Tennessee Sabot, Sub-pattern II
This projectile has
been altered from a Confederate Dahlgren copy to the reverse Tennessee Sabot system. The
interrupted bourrelets present both flame grooves and bearing surfaces. This projectile
has a strong "family" resemblance to that shown in Figure
71.
